Proverbs 17:22-' A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.'
Happiness is a CHOICE. And a good choice to make too, since joy is part of the fruit of the spirit =).
Over the weekend I felt pretty down about certain issues, like not being able to attend functions I wanted to. I was somewhat detached from everything around me in the physical realm.
Then I was reminded of the above verse during qt yesterday. It definitely set my thinking right and recharged me.
We can still be joyful during tough times. God wants us to be patient when suffering. Being patient doesn't merely mean waiting, but waiting with a positive attitude.
